What goes wrong
The night before the event, three things are usually on fire.
Booking late is a tax. In peak event season — March, September, the December conclaves — flight prices, hotel rates, and cab availability all turn at once. You only need one of them to go wrong for a delegate's day to be ruined before the first keynote starts.
Flights spike 2–3× in the final 30 days.
When several flagship events overlap in March or September, every airline algorithm sees the same demand at the same time. A round-trip BLR–DEL that was ₹6,400 in February crosses ₹19,000 by the week of.
Ride-hailing dries up at the worst moment.
9 am at HAL airport on the morning of a 1,000-person summit — Ola and Uber surge to 2.8×, ETAs cross 40 minutes, and half the cars cancel after pickup. The same delegate then walks into the auditorium frazzled, late, and unimpressed.
