EventValet collects the minimum information needed to operate event logistics on your behalf. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

1. What we collect

• Account details — your name, email, phone (optional), and a hashed password.
• Event participation — the events you're registered for, your role, and your funding entitlement.
• Booking details — the rooms, flights, taxis, and other requests you place through the platform.
• Payment proof — UPI screenshots you upload, retained for reconciliation and audit.
• Operational logs — status transitions, emails sent, and timestamps tied to your bookings.

2. Why we collect it

Strictly to fulfill the service you've signed up for: place bookings on your behalf, collect and reconcile payments, send you status updates, and produce audit trails for organizers.

3. Who sees what

Our operations team sees your booking details, contact information, and payment proofs in order to fulfill bookings. The event organizer sees aggregated bookings and entitlements for their event but does not see your UPI screenshots. Other participants never see your information.

4. Sharing with vendors

We share booking details (name, dates, room category, dietary or accessibility notes) with the relevant vendor (hotel, transport provider, agent) to fulfill your booking. We do not share your password, payment proof, or unrelated information.

5. Retention

We retain booking and payment records for seven years for tax and audit purposes. You can request deletion of your account; we will delete personal identifiers and retain anonymized booking records as required by law.
